Russell, United States Military Railroad Photographic Album. No. 107.–Depot buildings and wharves of City Point Railroad.
From the Railroad Wharf, looking north, showing activity at Camp’s Wharf. The two-story building at left is the Quartermaster Department Office, and just beyond it is the first of the Camp’s Wharf Storehouses. The second, a clothing storehouse, would soon be constructed just beyond it, completing the Capt. Camp’s Wharf complex. In the distance can be seen the Forage Wharf Storehouse, with USMRR box cars on the wharf-side tracks. A variety of vessels line the long wharves. Two portable steam engines stand at left.
