Library of Congress says: U.S.S. General Price with sailors and a large cannon at the stern with a small boat in tow, off Baton Rouge, Louisiana. [Notation on verso: “A very good picture of the U.S.S. “Genl. Price” taken as she laid off Baton Rouge. The plantation & sugar house opposite. The orange trees green. Steps on the starboard quarter. A boat hoisted on the starboard davits with a canvas cover over it. Horns on the pilot house. Shield between the chimneys. That look like doors on the stern bulkhead are pikes, 2 racks of 12 each. The ward room is under the pilot house.”]
