Viewed from the top of the O&A Round House in April of 1863, USMRR box car No. 1236 and twenty others, along with eight flat cars, sit on various tracks that converge heading west from the USMRR compound in Alexandria, Va. In the left foreground is one end of the USMRR Offices, and just beyond it one end of the Superintendent’s Quarters. A ghostly locomotive as at bottom.
