Haupt, United States Military Railway Department. Construction And Transportation. No. 6. Represents arks in process of construction; one is seen on the launching ways nearly finished. The bottom of another is represented on the platform, part of the canvas projecting over the edges. The arks while being constructed rest on rollers, by means of which they are launched with great facility.
