Wikipedia says: This image from Lincoln’s August 1863 sitting with Alexander Gardner in his new studio at 7th and D Street remained in the family of Lincoln’s Secretary John Hay until being sold at auction in 2013.

Associated Press says: NEW LINCOLN LIKENESS–this photo of Abraham Lincoln is being published for the first time, according to Look Magazine, in the publications current issue. The picture was taken by Alexander Gardner in Washington on August 9, 1863. According to the magazine Lincoln presented it to his secretary, John Hay, who had it on the wall of his living room for decades. Hay’s grandson recently inherited it.
