Williss, Historical Base Maps. Appomattox Manor – City Point says: The Distribution Barracks were not, as the name may imply, quarters. Rather, this one-story board and batten building would have likely been a distribution center for clothing, mess gear, and other personal articles. Built in 1864-65, the east side measured 40 by 150 feet, while the wings measured 30 by 105 feet. All three wings were valued at $14,250.
