Tag: AC&F Burnside Wharf (Potomac River)

Printed labels attached to contemporary photos read, in part: Burnside Wharf. – Built by orders of General Burnside, when in command of the Army of the Potomac. It is located about a mile and a half below Aquia Creek landing, and is connected with the Fredericksburg Railroad by means of a branch road.

Identified by some sources as Yuba Dam Wharf.
